The Suvahika Project challenges social norms by enabling women to enter non-traditional livelihoods as professional four-wheeler drivers. Currently active in Vadodara and Silvassa, and soon expanding to Jambusar, the initiative aims to train 75 women for sustainable careers in driving.
Participants receive not only technical driving skills but also holistic training in communication, driver etiquette, self-defence, first aid, CPR, financial literacy, and gender awareness. This comprehensive approach builds confidence and preparedness.
By supporting women in breaking occupational barriers, Suvahika promotes gender equality, expands livelihood opportunities, and creates pathways for long-term economic independence and inclusive community development.
